Responsibilities include but are not limited to oversight of admissions and registration, patient billing and collection, third-party payer relations, and preparation of insurance claims and contracts. Essential Job Responsibilities - Monitor daily billing and collections of Stephens Memorial Hospital to ensure efficiency in the billing and collection process, with goal of maximizing cash flow. - Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the Athena computer system and the reports maintained on the systems that will facilitate more efficient billing and collection of both clinics. - Assists the CEO with preparation of reports needed for annual Audits. - Generate reports as needed for Administration to evaluate the operations of SMH. - Answers all patient and insurance inquiries regarding assigned accounts. - Design, implement and enforce policies and procedures to ensure efficiency of department functions Streamline effective billing processes across multiple markets. - Answers patient billing questions and make necessary payment arrangements/agreements with patients. Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness and obtain any missing information. - Contact insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary. - Ensures procedures are followed to achieve an accurate and timely closing at month end. - Ensures all required records are maintained and submitted, as appropriate, in an accurate and timely manner and in compliance with federal and state regulations. - Coordinates account activities for placement of patient balances with early out and bad debt agencies to ensure compliance for Medicare bad debt cost reporting. - Assist in the development of daily cash reconciliation and deposit processes and procedures, as well as daily monitoring and reporting. - Monitor productivity and performance goals for the - - - Business Office team with individual training/coaching as required. - Provides leadership for direct reports including but not limited to delegation of duties, problem solving, workload management, performance management, training, time and attendance. - Provide mentoring, delegation, coaching and conflict management in a timely/effective manner - Ensures all office activities comply with hospital standards and government regulations. Position Requirements - College degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Management preferred - Previous experience in Healthcare Business office operations: insurance billing, insurance and self pay collections, cash management. - Minimum of 2 years management experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding systems. - Knowledge of insurance guidelines especially Medicare and Medicaid. - Strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan, and direct the department.

Qualifications :

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

experience with increasing level of administrative responsibility and authority

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree preferred

Need Specifics: MRI Tech needed! facility is building a new facility that will house a brand new MRI Suite! They would like the traveler to help in training any oncoming staff and they would prefer someone who is comfortable with X-Ray and CT as well.

Perform MRI procedures at a tech level in accordance with protocols. 2. Maintain proper quality control procedures. 3. Must have knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams and equipment. 4. Establish and maintain effective working relationship with patients, medical staff and the public. 5. Knowledge of concepts, standards, procedures and equipment. 6. Must be able to work extended hours when necessary.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Maintain a safe and appropriate work area. Maintain inventory of supplies. 2. Adhere to employer work practices as described in TDC Occupational Exposure Plan policy. 3. Knowledge of basic patient care and activities that may be necessary during exam. 4. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Completion of an accredited Radiology program required Certification/Licensure: 1. We are currently seeking a qualified RN Case Manager for a Hospice in Athena Texas TX

POSITION SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse (RN) is an experienced registered professional nurse who initiates and coordinates the care plan, provides skilled and palliative care and coordinates the services provided to his/her patients. The RN works cooperatively with the attending physician, Medical Director, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. The RN regularly reviews and updates the plan of care. Performs prescribed medical treatments, including pain management and symptom control, conducts assessments and evaluations, provides education and supportive care to patient and caregiver.
REPORTS TO: Director of Patient Care Services
SUPERVISES: Clinical Team
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
Credentials: Current RN License within the State or valid compact.
Current Basic Life Support license (BLS).
Experience: 1+ years’ experience as a professional nurse within the last 3 years or have a Baccalaureate in Nursing from a program accredited by the National League for Nursing. Experience in Hospice, Palliative, or Home health, or similar field is preferred.
Core Competencies: Demonstrated competency in performance of professional nursing functions. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with dying patients and their families. Possesses a sympathetic attitude toward caring for the hospice patient and demonstrates positive communication skills in interacting with other members of the hospice team.
Other: Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs comprehensive nursing evaluations.
2. Assesses for signs and symptoms of discomfort including presence of pain and takes prompt and appropriate action.
3. Initiates plan of care and appropriate supervises, provides appropriate nursing follow- up to all patients. Instructs caregivers in managing patient needs and submits appropriate documentation within 24 hours of visit.
4. Coordinates all services provided to patients/families in all settings to ensure quality of care and services as well as appropriateness of care.
5. Supervises the implementation of the approved plan of care, modifies as needed, and contacts physician when appropriate.
6. Provides supervision of care team including but not limited to: LVN/LPN, Certified Nursing Assistants, or other clinical team members.
7. Demonstrates flexibility in scheduling, and readily accepts new admissions and emergency assignments as requested.
8. Maintains knowledge of state and federal regulations.
9. Participates in QAPI program

10. Observes for safety hazards in the patient’s and organization’s environments and takes appropriate steps to reduce or eliminate them.

11. Maintains continuing education through academic studies, seminars, and workshops.
12. Attends and participates in in-services, staff meetings, and patient care conferences.
13. Completes admission process and required documentation in an accurate and timely manner, in the electronic medical record, as needed. This can include, but is not limited to, OASIS documentation.
14. Complies with program policies and procedures, laws and regulations and standards of practice.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Evidence of good physical and mental health.
2. Able to lift 40 lbs. from floor to waist and waist to shoulder.
3. Able to lift 25 lbs. from shoulder to overhead.
4. Able to perform patient transfers, utilizing appropriate techniques including assistance.
5. Average vision/hearing
6. Frequent bending and reaching
7. Repetitive standing, walking and use of hands.
9. Able to drive a car a minimum of 4 hours.
