Responsibilities:
The successful team member has a commitment to leveraging diversity and inclusion in support of quality care;
Collect and label specimens taken during surgical procedure;
Certified Surgical Technician Certification OR 2 years scrub experience in an OR setting;
Ensure the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field;
Perform scrub functions;
BLS;
Duties may also include functioning as a Unit Support Technician and in the OR core;
Perform instrument counts prior to each procedure;
Secure and prepare all supplies required for surgical intervention;
Follow all federal, state and departmental safety procedures.
Requirements:
Requires strict adherence to policies and regulations regarding maintenance of sterile field;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required;
Requires eligibility for certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist obtained from the NBSTSA;
Requires maintaining Basic Life Support Certification; AHA
Requires knowledge of name and function of surgical equipment and instrumentation;
Licensure/certification/registration: Current Surgical Tech certification or experience requirement required;

Responsibilities
- Record a patient’s medical history accurately
- Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
- Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
- Monitor patients’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts
- Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc.
- Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
- Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
- Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
- Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions

Medical-Surgical Nurse Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.

- Bachelor's degree in nursing.

- At least two years' experience as an ICU nurse in a similar facility.
- Competency in electronic patient management systems such as e-MDs Chart and Mediexcel.
- Extensive experience in monitoring a broad range of medical conditions.

- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Certified MS-RN preferred.
- State-approved nursing licensure.
- At least two years' experience as a medical-surgical nurse in a similar facility.

· Address client’s aspects of performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being and life quality
· Select and adapt the appropriate per case occupational therapy treatment model, method and approach to direct the process of interventions
· Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL)
· Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
· Assess client’s home and other environments and advice on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities
· Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use
· Guide and educate family members and caregivers
· Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals
· Collect data and document processes followed
· Regularly follow-up client
Requirements and skills
· Proven working experience as Occupational Therapist
· Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy
· Hands-on experience with computer programs and creative media
· Familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools ( e.g. Katz ADL scale, Lawton IADL scale)
· Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
· Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession
· Professional behaviour
· Excellent interpersonal communication skills
· Valid licence to practice occupational therapy
· BS degree or greater in occupational therapy

The Cardiovascular Catheterization Unit is comprised of a highly specialized team of Cardiovascular Technologists, Radiologist Technologists and Critical Care Nurses. The team works closely with Cardiologists and Vascular Surgeons who specialize in the treatment of coronary and peripheral vascular disease. The unit offers the latest imaging systems and equipment to provide the highest level of quality care to our patients. MRHC Cardiovascular Catheterization unit offers: 24 / 7 Emergent Cardiac Catheterization - A STEMI is the most severe of the three types of Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS). ACS occurs when an atherosclerotic plaque ruptures in a coronary artery. The rupture causes blood clots to form inside the artery, which often leads to partial or complete occlusion of the artery. The heart muscle being supplied by the occluded artery begins to suffer from ischemia (lack of oxygen), which can manifest as angina (chest discomfort). If the blockage is severe enough heart muscle begins to die, and a myocardial infarction occurs. Quick medical treatment is vital to the patient with Acute Coronary Syndrome or STEMI. MRHC Cardiac Catheterization Unit offers 24 / 7 Emergent Cardiac Catheterizations services which provides rapid response and treatment of patients suffering from a Heart Attack .
