General Duties and Responsibilities:
· Verifying patients' identity and reviewing physicians’ orders before beginning x-ray procedures.
· Using x-ray equipment to take radiographic images of patients' bones, tissues, and organs as per physicians’ written orders.
· Explaining x-ray procedures to patients and answering their questions.
· Positioning patients accordingly, which may include lifting and moving patients with limited mobility.
· Limiting patients' exposure to radiation by placing lead shields on patients where needed.
· Ensuring that the x-rays taken are of sound quality to prevent repeat procedures.
· Working closely with the resident Radiologist to determine whether further tests are required.
· Ensuring that the x-ray equipment is regularly serviced and in good working order.
· Promptly notifying management of damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipment.
· Maintaining an accurate record of completed x-ray procedures.
Technician Requirements:
· Bachelor's or associate's degree in radiologic technology, radiology, or a related field.
· Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
· Appropriate state licensure.
· Proven experience working as an X-ray technician.
· Ability to move or lift patients.
· Ability to stand for extended periods.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills.
· A patient and compassionate disposition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operates all required equipment and machinery accurately and safely, prepares, assembles, and
sterilizes instruments and supplies according to parameters of sterilization in accordance with The
Department of Health, TJC, OSHA, CDC, AAMI and AORN standards. Maintains appropriate
records, and monitors quality control and infection control standards. Provides asset management
and support of surgical instruments and trays belonging to or consigned to the facility.
• Accurately handles and cares for instruments appropriately, including appropriate selection of
cleaning agents, lubricants, examination for function, identification and assembly according to
OneSource and preparation for sterilization; retrieves malfunctioning instruments and ensures
repairs are completed.
• Correctly peel-packs supplies/instruments, wraps instruments for sterilization, inspect each
instrument for use, function, completeness and cleanliness.
• Coordinates with Materials Dept to ensure facility sets are stocked to PAR levels.
• Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all FSC policies, procedures and
standards and quality of service.
• Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for
mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which
contribute to the success of the organization; Communicate with operating room staff to provide
required instruments.
• Is responsible for reporting damaged or malfunctioning equipment to Clinical Director and
Material Manger and follow process for replacement.
• Resources to nursing staff in all departments regarding responsibilities of proper sterilization
techniques.
• Clean, set up, sterilize and distribute instruments as scheduled on each shift.
• Maintains records for QA and sterilization.
• Employees are expected to comply with all regulatory requirements, including Joint Commission
Standards.
• Is familiar with organization, department and job specific Environment of Care areas, including
Life Safety, Hazardous Materials Communications, Emergency Preparedness, Infection Control
and Medical Equipment Failure.
• Adheres to Standard Precautions as appropriate, which may include:
• the use of protective barriers, as appropriate (e.g., gloves, masks, gowns, pocket masks, and/or
safety glasses);
• handling and disposing of infectious waste appropriately; and
• hand washing as appropriate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Taking patients’ vital signs such as temperature and blood pressure and reporting any changes to a supervisor
- Supporting Registered Nurses with their duties by checking, sterilising and setting up equipment
- Serving meals and helping feed patients
- Assisting patients with performing basic tasks such as eating, dressing and going to the toliet when necessary
- Taking blood samples and submitting them for testing
- Performing household duties such as changing sheets and cleaning

General Duties and Responsibilities:
· Verifying patients' identity and reviewing physicians’ orders before beginning x-ray procedures.
· Using x-ray equipment to take radiographic images of patients' bones, tissues, and organs as per physicians’ written orders.
· Explaining x-ray procedures to patients and answering their questions.
· Positioning patients accordingly, which may include lifting and moving patients with limited mobility.
· Limiting patients' exposure to radiation by placing lead shields on patients where needed.
· Ensuring that the x-rays taken are of sound quality to prevent repeat procedures.
· Working closely with the resident Radiologist to determine whether further tests are required.
· Ensuring that the x-ray equipment is regularly serviced and in good working order.
· Promptly notifying management of damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipment.
· Maintaining an accurate record of completed x-ray procedures.
Technician Requirements:
· Bachelor's or associate's degree in radiologic technology, radiology, or a related field.
· Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
· Appropriate state licensure.
· Proven experience working as an X-ray technician.
· Ability to move or lift patients.
· Ability to stand for extended periods.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills.
· A patient and compassionate disposition.

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced RN Med/Surg, RN Specialty and Extended Care (CLC), Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants to work in a Government hospital setting in New Orleans, LA!
Hours:
- Travel nurses will be guaranteed a minimum of 36 hours/week. Per diem nurses do not have a minimum number of hours to meet.
o 8 Hour Tour:
§ Day 0700 - 1530;
§ Mid-shift 1100 - 1930
§ Evening 1500 - 2330;
§ Night 2300 – 0730; and
o 12 Hour Tour:
§ Day 0700-1930;
§ Mid-shift 1100 – 2330;
§ Night 1900-0730
(12-hour short shift – 8 hours – 0700-1530; 1500-2330; and 2300-0730
Day and evening eight-hour (8) tours include a ½ hour non-paid lunch break as well as all twelve (12) hour shifts
Length of contract:
: 7-month Base period and four additional 6-month ordering periods for a total of approximately 2.5 years.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Certified MS-RN preferred.
- State-approved nursing licensure.
- At least two years' experience as a medical-surgical nurse in a similar facility.
- Competency in electronic patient management systems such as e-MDs Chart and Mediexcel.
- Extensive experience in monitoring a broad range of medical conditions.
- In-depth knowledge of best practices in medical-surgical nursing.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Superb interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities.
CERTIFICATES/LICENSURE:
BLS Certification and ACLS Certification
Duties Responsibilities
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals.
- Evaluating medical information, as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients.
- Preparing, administering and recording prescribed medications.
- Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
- Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpreting and recording measurements.
- Monitoring patients' vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner.
- Collaborating on discharge planning with the healthcare team.
- Answering questions and educating patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care.
- Maintaining and updating patient files, medical charts, and health records.
- Adhering to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols
