Human Resource Specialist Human Resources Status:
Full-Time FLSA Status: Non-Exempt The Human Resource Specialist is responsible for assisting leaders with achieving business performance goals while offering great employment experience for all employees.
The successful candidate will provide leadership coaching and training in addition to serving as a resource for leave administration, employee relations, performance management, compensation, recruitment, and employment law compliance.
This candidate will have the opportunity to participate in the development of HR objectives and systems and is empowered to work independently while serving as the primary contact for Human Resources operation needs.
The candidate will also interface with TCMH employees, answering questions regarding employment and/or directing customers to the appropriate parties within the department or institution.
The candidate will also act as a liaison to departments and the employees.
The candidate will ensure that all employee actions are documented and entered into the Human Resource personnel files and generate reports upon request.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or a related field of study required. HR certification preferred.

Experience:
Minimum of two years of related work experience required. Healthcare experience preferred. Qualifications/Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Aptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies.
Knowledge of employment/labor laws. Knowledge of HRIS and ability to learn new technical systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.)

Assist with screening applicants and scheduling interviews for select jobs. – Assists with the resolution of individual employee benefits issues and maintains issues log for documentation of all benefits-related escalations and resolutions. – Collect and update HR databases with employee information. – Ensures employee file is complete and assists with file audits. – Interacts with Payroll, F

Work closely with IT, Manager of Finance and HR Systems to establish and maintain benefit reports and dashboards in HRIS. Modify benefits-related system set up and business processes as needed. – Reviews monthly vendor billing against plan enrollment to ensure accuracy of payments against plan census. Mental/Physical Requirements (may be met with or without reasonable accommodations): Normal mental concentration on largely variable operations, with frequent periods of intense concentration due to deadlines and sensitive situations. Must possess the ability to transport self throughout the facility. Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching are required. Must be able to lift 20lbs from the floor and from overhead, and 40lbs from waist height. Exercise good body mechanics in execution of essential duties, including appropriate back and neck posture. Working Conditions: Standard office conditions. Frequent interruptions. Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and stressful situations.
